Recipe of the month - Orange and olive oil cake
To be enjoyed at tea time or during a gourmet brunch :)
Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 45 mins
Ingredients
3 beautiful oranges
250 g flour
180 g cane sugar
3 eggs
15 cl olive oil Oliv&sens Aglandau
1 pinch of salt
1 baking powder
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
Prep time
Preheat the oven to 180 °
Grate the zest from the oranges and squeeze the juice into a bowl
In a bowl, mix the eggs and sugar (reserving 2 tbsp).
Add the juice and zest and mix everything together.
Add the flour, baking powder and vanilla sugar, mix, then add to the mix olive oil and salt and mix well.
Oil a cake tin, powder with reserved sugar and pour the mixture over it.
Bake for 45 minutes (check the cooking with a knife, if it comes out dry the cake is cooked).
Tasting
Wait for the cake to cool before unmolding it and serve immediately (or later, if you can wait :))
