French olive oil production

French olive oil production

France produces barely 5000 tons of olive oil on average per year. This represents less than 5% of French olive oil consumption.

France has around a hundred endemic varieties of olives and around fifteen production basins with climatic and geological characteristics. There are about 300 mills in France, where the miller works the olive in an artisanal way.

This French production from endemic varieties, not very productive, offers exceptional oils.

Our Oliv&sens olive oils are French and more precisely from the Gard, produced from olives of French endemic varieties: Aglandau, Picholine, Bouteillan and Négrette.

You can discover them in more detail here and let yourself be tempted in our e-shop.
