The benefits of olive oil

For the health…

From antiquity to our grandmothers’ recipes, the olive tree has always been considered as the "Medicine Tree" whose medicinal properties have been verified over time.

Put forward by the famous Mediterranean diet, extra virgin olive oil is rich in mono saturated fatty acids. These fats are among the most beneficial for health: they help protect the brain, reduce injuries and inflammation while keeping the heart in shape because they are rich in omega 3 and omega 9.

... And the environment

The olive tree, more than any tree, has adapted to its environment.

Several scientific studies have shown that the olive tree constitutes a growing system characterized by its positive effects on the environment (biodiversity, soil improvement, barrier to desertification...) and that certain agricultural practices increase the capacity to fix the CO2 taken from the atmosphere both in the biomass and in the soil.

Olive tree culture contributes positively to environmental protection and significantly reduces its "carbon footprint" with CO2 storage capacities ranging from a few months in the leaves to several decades in stable materials such as peat.
