Spread recipe – Hazelnuts, chocolate and olive oil

The cold sets in, we need sweetness, so we go for a homemade spread: chocolate, hazelnuts and Bouteillan olive oil.

Arrange the hazelnuts on a baking tray and roast them for a few minutes in the oven. They will take on a few colors and the taste of hazelnuts will be more pronounced.

Caramelize the sugar in a saucepan (over high heat) with a teaspoon of sugar. When the caramel is blond, add the hazelnuts, stir quickly and place everything on a plate covered with a baking sheet.

When the hazelnut/caramel mixture has hardened, mix it until you obtain a paste.

Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie and then add it to the hazelnut paste.

pour theBouteillan olive oil while mixing. If you find that the dough is not liquid enough, add a little water. The spread should be shiny and smooth.

You can keep your spread in the fridge.

On pancakes, on toast, at breakfast or as a snack...good tasting!
